Mr. Brad Sarchet
Building Technology Instructor
Mr. Brad Sarchet has been has been employed by the Career Center since 1996.
He is a 1982 graduate of River View High School and was a program completer of the Career Center that same year. After graduation, Mr. Sarchet worked in the construction industry for a period of 13 years, learning and practicing his trade first-hand. Among his employers were California Homes of Westerville and Longaberger Company Construction. Eventually, Mr. Sarchet launched his own general contracting business, which he still operates, working primarily in the summer months.
Mr. Sarchet received his Career Technical teaching certificate from The Ohio State University in 1998. He is a certified trainer for the National Center for Construction Education and Research and can administer NACCER testing within his curriculum. He also holds an OSHA 30 jobsite safety certification and administers OSHA 10 training to his students.
Mr. Sarchet was invited to serve as a member of the National Education Team at the 2011 Skills USA National Competition, in Kansas City. In that role, he assisted in the national Cabinetry contest.
Mr. Sarchet has worked to ensure real jobsite experience for his students, which has developed through an ongoing relationship with Habitat for Humanity of Coshocton. Construction Tech students have participated in major aspects of all Habitat homes built in Coshocton since the program began in 2004.
